Shooting for the "L" of it

When all else fails, I grab my camera and go around Louisville with the hopes of capturing a good shot.  Sometimes, I feel that it is successful.  Other times, it ends up with me just going around and shooting for the "L" of it.

Springing Forward

I wrote a post last year titled "Rebirth" where I made the statement, "Let spring be a rebirth to my hobby."  This year, spring still represents the beginning for me as I am trying to push myself in ways that I have not reached.  I still have a long ways to go with learning more of my hobby and I love sharing this journey with you.  Tonight's pictures were taken this past week while walking around my neighborhood.  It is not of buildings, sunsets, bridges, and landscapes that frequent my posts, but of flowers that I have seldom focused on before.  Here is to learning and growing…just like the flowers in Spring!  

Thunder 2014

All I can say is WOW!  I had an amazing weekend.  It that started on Thursday with attending a John Legend concert and capped off on Saturday with a stellar fireworks display at Thunder Over Louisville.  I also had a wonderful time spending it with my family who came up for the air show and fireworks.  By the end of the day on Saturday, I could not stop smiling because it was such a great weekend.

Something Old, Something New

My girlfriend pointed out to me that I seem obsessed with capturing the next shot.  That observance resonated with me, and these pictures are a result of that conversation.  As the title suggests, I share with you a few pictures that were taken recently and others that have been revisited.  It felt like I discovered a gold mine. Looking back at these old pictures allowed me look at my photos through with an entirely different perspective.  Enjoy!
